What we collect

When you register a duck or log an adoption, you may optionally provide a city, state, country, and Jeep model/year. This information is displayed publicly on the duck's profile page.

If you create an account, we generate a random 16-digit ID for you. We never ask for your name, email address, or any personal contact information.

We log standard server request data (IP addresses, user-agent strings) for security and abuse prevention. These logs are not linked to your duck activity.

How we use it

Location data you enter is used solely to display the duck's journey on a map and in its adoption history. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it for any other purpose.

Public information

Duck profiles — including adoption location, Jeep model, and year — are publicly visible to anyone who knows or finds the duck's code. Do not enter information you want kept private.

Cookies and sessions

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in to your flock account. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics scripts.

Third-party services

Map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap. Duck profile pages are served from Cloudflare's network. These services may log request metadata per their own privacy policies.

Data retention

Duck and adoption records are kept indefinitely — that's the whole point. If you want a specific record removed, email us at ducked@wheresmyjeepduck.com and we'll handle it manually.
