Why I Started This

When I was a kid I stumbled onto Where's George?, a site where you could stamp a dollar bill with a URL, spend it, and then watch it turn up in someone else's city weeks later. Completely pointless, totally addictive. I loved it.

Then I bought a Jeep and got introduced to ducking. You leave a rubber duck on a stranger's Jeep — door handle, wiper, wherever — no note, no reason, just a little surprise for them to find. It sounds weird. It's actually kind of great.

One afternoon I found a duck on my door handle and the first thing I thought was I wonder where this thing has been. Then I thought about Where's George. Then I thought — why doesn't this exist for ducks?

So I built it. Register a duck, write a short code on the bottom with a Sharpie, pass it on. Anyone who finds it can look up its whole journey. No accounts required to participate, no photos to moderate, nothing complicated. Just a little dot on a map every time a duck changes hands.

That's it. Hope you find it as fun as I do.
